Test reaction to see if crude MNR11-16 can be hydrolysed cleanly to MNR26-4


Hazard and Risk Assessment:

MNR11-16 ( 0.40 g, 1.07 mmol) was dissolved in a mixture of EtOH (2 mL) and 1M HCl (10 mL) and heated to reflux for 14 h. The solution was allowed to cool to room temperature then cooled in an ice bath, basified with NaOH to pH 12-13 and extracted with DCM (4 x 15 mL).
