Attempt to repeat MNR11-2 using a catalytic amount of methanesulfonic acid.

As for MNR11-1

Procedure:
MNR8-2 (70 mg, 0.15 mmol) in toluene (1 mL) was stirred with methanesulfonic acid (0.001 mL, 0.015 mmol) at room temperature for 24 hours, TLC indicated that all the starting material had been consumed. The reaction was quenched with saturated sodium carbonate and extracted with EtOAc (10 mL x2). The organic fractions were dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure.
